“The Fairfield Bay community organizations, businesses, and families have joined together to create this holiday festival,” said Heather Dunn, Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce Director. “We’ve got all the twinkling lights, sounds and smells of this blessed season to get you in the spirit and ready for some truly happy holidays.”

Trees, Trees and More Trees
Explore this special forest of trees and leave inspired and ready for the season. Each Christmas tree is decorated from its starry tiptop to its blanketed base. No two are alike and range from whimsical to traditional! Be sure to cast a ballot for your favorite. And while you’re there, look for the special donation box to help local families in need with your local food bank donation.

Trees will be on display in the Conference Center Tuesday-Friday, December 4th – December 14th, from 9am until 4pm each day. Families are encouraged to bring cameras and capture their special holiday photos. And if you want to enter a tree, there’s still plenty of time and it’s free! The trees may stay up throughout the month of December and on into the New Year. Great way to advertise your business or just simply show your Christmas spirit!

JHS Chamber Singers Madrigal Dinner & NSM’s Natural State of Christmas…

November 29, 6:30PM
November 30, 6:30 PM
December 1, 6:00PM

Jacksonville First Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall
1506 N Jp Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville

The show is a musical production put on by JHS Vocal Music Department’s Chamber Singers & Natural State of Mind. For years our program has put on the annual “Madrigal Dinner Feast,” where the students dressed in medieval costuming and the venue transforme-d into a castle hall. Now, we have decided to expand the format into a more informal setting while adding some modern traditional & jazz holiday tunes, comedy, stage play and dinner theater style fun for the entire family.

The Menu-4 Course Dinner:

Featuring the same great chefs (Mike) whom have provided our most fantastic and flavorful meals for the past five years.

*Appetizer- Crisp & fresh garden salad served with your choice of ranch and/or Italian dressing

* Wassail Bowl- The traditional classic Madrigal Dinner “Wassail.” A wonderful hot spiced cider punch mixed with cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and a mixture of fruits. For years, this drink has been star of the night to warm the bellies of guests and tickle their taste buds.

*Main Entree- Grilled chicken breast, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll

*Dessert- A warm serving of homemade bread pudding, drizzled with Chef Mike’s famous caramel sauce.

The North Pole has never known a more mischievous elf than Jack Frost, and this year his antics are more rascally than ever. He’s the number one elf on Santa’s list – and I don’t mean his good list. The chilly little scamp is forever upsetting production in the toy factory, tormenting the magic reindeer, and playing every sneaky trick you can think of on Santa himself. Yes, jolly old St. Nick is not so jolly. In fact, he’s at his wit’s end and so distracted by Jack’s bad behavior that he can hardly do his work. And if Santa can’t do his work . . . ! One shudders to think! It’s a good thing that wise old Mrs. Claus is around to take her two high-spirited boys in hand and save the day.

Christmas Gathering – Caroling
Hosted by Erin McCarthy Taylor
December 23, 2018 at 6 PM – 8 PM
Two Rivers Bridge & Park
Little Rock
With all the hustle, bustle and craziness that happens this time of year, it’s important to have some time to be with friends and family to just “be” and revele in the spirit of the season and each other. 🙂 Let’s take a few minutes for a fun Christmas get together. A favorite annual event for many of us!!

Christmas Gathering:
– Gather at 2 Rivers Bridge and Park. Pack a flashlight, candles, battery-powered lights, BYOB and/or hot chocolate.
– Walk over the bridge together to a little shelter in the clearing about 1/2 a mile in. There’s a gazebo and platform there, but it’s a beautiful clearing in the woods. There we would string up some (battery powered) xmas lights. Candles, too!
– Break out a few drinks, sing a few carols. Do something that has meaning with good friends and family.
– Walk back when we’re ready.

Place: Two Rivers Bridge
Date: Sunday Dec 23rd (last sunday before Christmas)
Time: 6pm, Sunset.
Who: All friends (walkers/running friends and any guests (friends and family) you’d like to bring.
What to bring?: Flashlight, Candles, Hot Drink & Spirits :)), and Battery-Powered lights (if you have them)

The More the Merrier. Looking forward to seeing and singing with you ALL. PLEASE INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMLY…

Merry Christmas. Blessings and Love.
Erin and Gary.

December 11, 7:00PM
The Church is located at the edge of Park Hill at 4106 JFK Boulevard

ARmusica performers Julie Cheek, piano, and Andrew Irvin, violin, will lead a program of vocal and instrumental Christmas music at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in North Little Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11. “Sing Noel,” performed by ARmusica and students—Erin Davis, Alana Duvall, Harry Lance, Harmony Skinner, and Caleb Yu—will include traditional carols as well as music by Tchaikovsky, Telemann, and Mozart, plus an original duet for piano and violin, “Snow,” composed by Alana Duvall.
The program, the fourth in this season’s Festival of the Senses performing arts series, is free and open to the public. The concert will be followed by a reception in the parish hall with food and wine. The church is located at the edge of Park Hill at 4106 JFK Boulevard.
Little Rock native Julie Cheek made her professional debut at 14 as a soloist with the Arkansas Chamber Orchestra and has gone on to perform and hold master classes with symphonies across the U.S. and Europe. She has sailed around the world as a favorite entertainer on Silversea, Crystal, and Radisson cruise lines and has taught at Interlochen, the University of Colorado, UALR, and Vienna’s Hochschule. She will return to Festival of the Senses in May 2019 with a solo recital of piano music she calls The 60/60 Project.
Andrew (Drew) Irvin, concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, has played his 1765 Gagliano violin in concerts throughout America and Europe. A cofounder of ARmusica and a member of the Camino Trio and the Irvin/Christopher Duo, he has recorded on the Potenza and Naxos labels.  Highlights of his chamber music career include performances with the Ying Quartet, the Audubon Quartet, and the New York City premiere of composer Steve Mackey’s “Troubadour Songs.”
Festival of the Senses, a free performing arts series launched in 2011, is now in its eighth season at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Designed as a gift to the community to entertain, enlighten, and inspire, it has presented more than 50 performances to date featuring distinguished local and regional artists in classical music, jazz, gospel, comedy and drama. Hosted by Searcy Holiday of Lights and Searcy Art Gallery
November 20, 5PM-7PM
Searcy Art Gallery
300 E. Race Avenue, Searcy
To celebrate the coming holiday season and Searcy’s Holiday of Lights, we are having an open house on Tuesday, November 20th from 5 until 7pm. We encourage everyone to stop in and see the Black House dressed up with holiday cheer. There will be hot apple cider and treats and the Searcy Arts Council Members Exhibit will be on display.
It’s a casual “drop in” kind of thing to warm you up after the lighting ceremony or while shopping (we do have a gift shop, too).
While we believe that the Black House is pretty special 365 days a year, it is a sight to see when it’s decked out for the holidays. We want to share it’s warmth and charm with you, so come on by!
