The North Pole has never known a more mischievous elf than Jack Frost, and this year his antics are more rascally than ever. He’s the number one elf on Santa’s list – and I don’t mean his good list. The chilly little scamp is forever upsetting production in the toy factory, tormenting the magic reindeer, and playing every sneaky trick you can think of on Santa himself. Yes, jolly old St. Nick is not so jolly. In fact, he’s at his wit’s end and so distracted by Jack’s bad behavior that he can hardly do his work. And if Santa can’t do his work . . . ! One shudders to think! It’s a good thing that wise old Mrs. Claus is around to take her two high-spirited boys in hand and save the day.

Christmas Gathering – Caroling
Hosted by Erin McCarthy Taylor
December 23, 2018 at 6 PM – 8 PM
Two Rivers Bridge & Park
Little Rock
With all the hustle, bustle and craziness that happens this time of year, it’s important to have some time to be with friends and family to just “be” and revele in the spirit of the season and each other. 🙂 Let’s take a few minutes for a fun Christmas get together. A favorite annual event for many of us!!

Christmas Gathering:
– Gather at 2 Rivers Bridge and Park. Pack a flashlight, candles, battery-powered lights, BYOB and/or hot chocolate.
– Walk over the bridge together to a little shelter in the clearing about 1/2 a mile in. There’s a gazebo and platform there, but it’s a beautiful clearing in the woods. There we would string up some (battery powered) xmas lights. Candles, too!
– Break out a few drinks, sing a few carols. Do something that has meaning with good friends and family.
– Walk back when we’re ready.
Place: Two Rivers Bridge
Date: Sunday Dec 23rd (last sunday before Christmas)
Time: 6pm, Sunset.
Who: All friends (walkers/running friends and any guests (friends and family) you’d like to bring.
What to bring?: Flashlight, Candles, Hot Drink & Spirits :)), and Battery-Powered lights (if you have them)
The More the Merrier. Looking forward to seeing and singing with you ALL. PLEASE INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMLY…
Merry Christmas. Blessings and Love.
Erin and Gary.

‘Sing Noel’ Celebrates Christmas at St. Luke’s
in December 11 Festival of the Senses concert
December 11, 7:00PM
The Church is located at the edge of Park Hill at 4106 JFK Boulevard

ARmusica performers Julie Cheek, piano, and Andrew Irvin, violin, will lead a program of vocal and instrumental Christmas music at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in North Little Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11. “Sing Noel,” performed by ARmusica and students—Erin Davis, Alana Duvall, Harry Lance, Harmony Skinner, and Caleb Yu—will include traditional carols as well as music by Tchaikovsky, Telemann, and Mozart, plus an original duet for piano and violin, “Snow,” composed by Alana Duvall.
The program, the fourth in this season’s Festival of the Senses performing arts series, is free and open to the public. The concert will be followed by a reception in the parish hall with food and wine. The church is located at the edge of Park Hill at 4106 JFK Boulevard.
Little Rock native Julie Cheek made her professional debut at 14 as a soloist with the Arkansas Chamber Orchestra and has gone on to perform and hold master classes with symphonies across the U.S. and Europe. She has sailed around the world as a favorite entertainer on Silversea, Crystal, and Radisson cruise lines and has taught at Interlochen, the University of Colorado, UALR, and Vienna’s Hochschule. She will return to Festival of the Senses in May 2019 with a solo recital of piano music she calls The 60/60 Project.
Andrew (Drew) Irvin, concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, has played his 1765 Gagliano violin in concerts throughout America and Europe. A cofounder of ARmusica and a member of the Camino Trio and the Irvin/Christopher Duo, he has recorded on the Potenza and Naxos labels.  Highlights of his chamber music career include performances with the Ying Quartet, the Audubon Quartet, and the New York City premiere of composer Steve Mackey’s “Troubadour Songs.”
Festival of the Senses, a free performing arts series launched in 2011, is now in its eighth season at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Designed as a gift to the community to entertain, enlighten, and inspire, it has presented more than 50 performances to date featuring distinguished local and regional artists in classical music, jazz, gospel, comedy and drama. A complete schedule of 2018-19 events is available at www.stlukeepiscopal.org.
