Forget wine tastings. Your mom’s wine tasting with cheese and crackers has definitely seen its day. Now, it’s all about the beer.

Beer tastings are becoming increasingly common around Arkansas. After all, beer tastings are fun and casual, and you can hang out with friends and enjoy them. But, there’s beer event that helped kick-start the trend: the Arkansas Arthritis Foundation’s Food & Foam Fest.

Now in its 22ndyear, the Food & Foam Fest gives you the chance to sample hundreds of varieties of beer, cider and wine while enjoying some tasty snacks from local restaurants. And, best of all, you’re supporting a worthwhile cause while you’re at it.

The fest supports the foundation’s mission to find a cure for arthritis, which is the primary cause of disability in America. The event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the foundation’s efforts to provide resources, raise awareness and fund studies.

So, help support the Arthritis Festival by drinking some great beer. If you purchase a VIP ticket, you’ll receive a t-shirt, lanyard, early admission, and access to specialty beers only available for a limited time, in addition to general admission perks.

General admission includes a souvenir cup, unlimited food and unlimited drinks.

The 22nd Food & Foam Fest will be held Friday, April 5, at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. The regular hours are 6-9 p.m. The VIP tasting will be from 5:15 to 6 p.m.

Order your tickets online soon! Online ticket sales close on Thursday at midnight. However, tickets will be available for purchase at the event starting on Friday at 5:15 p.m.
