Heather Baker’s Weekend Plans: Vintage Market Days, Bark Bar and More

Thursday, Sept. 13th

Have fun while giving back at the Ronald McDonald House Totally Tailgate VIP party! There will be big screen TVs streaming NFL games, raffles, a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres and complimentary wine and beer. The party kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. It precedes the 25th Annual RMHCA Golf Scramble, and tickets included with Golf Scramble registration. Friday, Sept. 14th

Who doesn’t love a little retail therapy? Head to the Arkansas State Fairgrounds between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 14th-16th for Vintage Market Days of Little Rock’s “Farm House.”  Some of the best vintage vendors from across Arkansas and all over the country will be selling original art, home décor, clothing, jewelry, good eats, outdoor furnishings and more! Don’t miss out on this unique experience! Tickets will be available at the gate, $10 for Friday, $5 for Saturday and Sunday. Children under 12 get in free.

Make a stop at the Community Theatre of Little Rock this weekend for The Producers! Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 per person, and can be purchased here: https://centralarkansastickets.com/categories/theatre

Saturday, Sept. 15th

Break out the tennis shoes and trash bags, because Fall Cleanup is going on at Boyle Park from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Pitch in and pick up litter, and get the whole family involved in giving back to the community.

Get your furry friend all dressed up in Razorback gear and head to Bark Bar to call the hogs at 3:00! All dressed up doggos get in free, and you’ll take 50% off all Razorback pet gear in the gift shop. Popular food and drink specials will be offered throughout the game, and this is definitely the place to mix and mingle this football season. Pups must be 4 months or older to enter, people must be at least 21.

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Fassler Hall all weekend long! There will be wiener dog races, stein hoisting, a hot dog eating competition, live entertainment and all the beer you can handle!

Head to Tinkerfest between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Museum of Discovery for a day of educational fun. With more than 40 hands-on, interactive activities to tinker with, children and adults alike will leave enlightened. Learn how everyday objects such as computers and cars work, and prepare to be fascinated! Tinkerfest is included in regular museum admission, $10 per adult and $8 per child.

Find your inner Sandy at the Grease Sing-a-Long at the Argenta Community Theater! Show up at 6 p.m. to celebrate the 40thanniversary of an obvious classic. Costumes are highly encouraged! This event is for ladies only event, and proceeds will benefit Hope Rises. Sunday, Sept. 16th

Motorcycle enthusiasts, this one’s for you! Head to The Handlebar at 9 a.m. for breakfast, then meet at Rodney’s Cycle House at 11:30 a.m. for Arkansas Bikers for Children. You’ll cruise over to Burns Park for the annual barbecue, then on to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where this year’s check will be donated. It’s starting to cool down outside, so get out and ride for a good cause!
