Weekend Plans: Eggshibition, Springfest, Travelers Baseball and More

Thursday

Grab your hot dog and get ready for baseball! The Arkansas Travelers open their season against San Antonio Missions at Dickey-Stephens Park, 400 W Broadway St. in North Little Rock. Gates open at 6:10 p.m. and the game starts at 7:10 p.m. Tickets start at $6. The Travs play at home all weekend. Check their website for full schedule and more information: travs.com.

Friday

Eggshibition 2018 is an evening featuring live and silent auctions, original hand-blown glass from James Hayes, gift baskets from local businesses, live music, delicious food, and more. Proceeds from Eggshibition benefit Youth Home’s mental health programs and facilities. General admission tickets are $70 at the door and patron tickets at the door are $100. The event is at UALR’s Jack Stephens Center, 2801 S University Ave. in Little Rock and a reception for patrons begins at 6 p.m.

Saturday

The Junior League of Little Rock presents the 5th Annual Downtown Dash. The race will start at 8:30 am at the Junior League Building on Scott Street, and will feature Downtown Little Rock landmarks, such as the River Market, Clinton Library and Arkansas Arts Center. The race is also handicap and stroller accessible. In addition to the 10K/5K, this year’s event will include a Kids 1K event called Downtown Dash, Jr. Downtown Dash, Jr. will begin at 8 a.m. Cost is $10 to $40.

The third annual Springfest is a free family festival and will include a Ruff on the River Pooch Parade, Hero Zone, Bounce Zone, Science Shows, local food trucks, arts-and-craft vendors and more. Activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at First Security Amphitheater and the River Market Pavilions.
