When we started planning our August issue many months ago, we knew the big focus would be on our Intriguing Men feature. We are excited to showcase the fascinating and dynamic men who go above and beyond to make a difference in Arkansas. When we began discussing a travel feature on the beautiful new Guest House at Graceland, right across the river in Memphis, and the 40th anniversary of the death of the King of Rock and Roll, there was no doubt who would grace our cover. After all, isn’t Elvis the original intriguing man?

We are incredibly grateful to the men who accepted our invitation to be a part of our pages. They truly change lives and they all deserve to be celebrated and recognized for the important work they do. Several even stated that their hobby is giving back to their community. We appreciate the fact that these men made time to work with us and we would like to especially congratulate coach Bret Bielema and his wife, Jen, on the birth of their baby girl!

I’m also thrilled to see our coverage of the Children’s Tumor Foundation Dancing with Our Stars benefit in this month’s issue. Not only is this charity close to my heart, but I have to add that I (ahem) actually danced in the Dancing with Our Stars competition a few years ago. All kidding aside, this charity is about the children and for the children. They are the true stars. Please take a look and see how you can help the foundation and the children, even if you can’t attend the event.

On a more difficult note, we are publishing the first article in a monthly series on the disappearance of Ebby Jane Steppach, a young woman who disappeared at the age of 18 in October, 2015. The search for Ebby continues and the reward for news leading to her whereabouts was recently raised to $50,000. We hope our story helps this tortured family get some reprieve. Can we help find Ebby? We hope so. Please follow the Official: Find Ebby Steppach Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/527410417434961/.
