This month is different. This March, for the second consecutive year, we’re bringing you food like nobody else. In this edition of AY, we feature all of the finalists considered for this year’s Arkansas Food Hall of Fame.
The chefs and restaurants in this book are renowned. And that’s why we’ve devoted more than a dozen pages to everything they do. This month, we’ll get to see who made the cut in each category, including Hall of Fame restaurants, proprietors and food themed event. New this year is a category called “gone but not forgotten.” The finalists in this category are no longer with us, but their contributions to the Arkansas food scene still have a lasting impact.
You’ll have to wait until March 6 to find out the winners!

For decades, Cavender’s has been one of the most popular seasonings around. As a fan, myself, it was a joy to learn about its legacy in Harrison, Ark. In addition to our tribute to the state’s best food, AY is honoring our state’s most influential business people this month. In a first ever edition of Arkansas Power Players, we take a look at the men and women who are at the tops of their industries.
These 88 men and women from seven different fields make up the list of Arkansas’ movers and shakers. And only in AY can you read all about them.
We’re also proud to feature the powerful stories of three inspirational Arkansans. These individuals have been through countless trials, following tragic injuries, and have fought back to find so much joy in life. We can learn so much from their stories.
