Paws at the Net to Benefit CARE

Tomorrow is the last day to register to participate in Paws at the Net, benefitting CARE  – Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals.

The tournament will take place Aug. 10-12 at the Rebsamen Tennis Center in Little Rock. Paws at the Net is a USTA sanctioned tournament, and also a participant in the Arkansas Cup. The Arkansas Cup is a series of 8 tournaments, and more information can be found here.

Participants will enjoy fun competitive matches, a dog wash, food, drinks, a silent auction, a microchip clinic and more. CARE will have some adoptable dogs at the event as well.

CARE is dedicated to rescuing animals by placing animals facing possible euthanasia into foster and permanent homes. CARE also provides medical care to animals in need. Their mission is to also increase awareness for the importance of spaying and neutering pets, and to work with and advise animal shelters in central Arkansas on animal welfare issues.

CARE was established in 1998 by four volunteers, and has grown to now have hundreds of volunteers who are dedicated to the cause.
