Heights Taco & Tamale Co. is celebrating their third birthday and Cinco de Mayo with two days of food, drinks and fun.
Cinco de Heights starts on May 4 at Heights Taco & Tamale Co. at 5805 Kavanaugh Boulevard in Little Rock with $5 margaritas and $5 cheese dip and salsa combos all day.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 5, the restaurant will kick things up a notch when it shuts down the street in front of the restaurant for customers to enjoy live music from The Good Time Ramblers, a golf cart build-off competition, a golf cart giveaway, face painting, a kids’ bounce zone, a walk-up bar, a photo booth and more.
The golf cart competition will have three winners: Most Creative Cart, People’s Choice and Best Cinco Cart. To compete in the build-off, be sure to arrive on Grant Street by 10:45 a.m. The carts will be lined up on Kavanaugh from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local celebrity judges will evaluate the carts at 2 p.m. and winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
To enter to win the golf cart, you can buy an Arkansas Foodbank Partners token at Domestic Domestic, Heights Taco & Tamale Co., Steamroller Blues in the Heights, eggshells kitchen co., Le Pops and ZAZA Fine Salad + Wood-Oven Pizza Co. until the event and bring the token to the event. The money spent on tokens will be donated to the Arkansas Foodbank. If you want to enter the drawing without buying a token, you can mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Cinco de Heights, 1311 Rebsamen Park Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 and bring your token to the party.
