Have you heard the buzz about The Bee?
This isn’t your ordinary spelling bee – it’s not for kids, either. It’s Arkansas’ adult-only, team spelling bee. Get ready for a fun night of competitive spelling and revelry!
The Bee is set for Friday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in North Little Rock. Literacy Action of Central Arkansas, a local nonprofit organization, is hosting the event.
Featuring appetizers from The Root along with beer and wine from Flyway Brewing Company and 107 Liquor, there will be plenty to enjoy while you’re watching the contestants square off.
Don’t miss out on the silent auction, the honeycomb punch and The Bee’s signature cocktail, The Boozy Bee! It’s going to be a fun night!
Teams will be duking it out to win a custom trophy made by the Hub. However, the audience won’t be left out of the spelling fun. There will be audience spell-offs, so make sure to break out your dictionary!
Are you ready to cheer on the teams? Of course you are! Purchase regular tickets for $20 in advance of the event. VIB (Very Important Bees) tickets are available for $40 in advance. Ticket prices will increase on the day of the event.
Proceeds from the event support Literacy Action of Central Arkansas and its goal of teaching adults and families reading and English language skills.
