An Arkansas preacher and writer will be honored as the 2018 Woman of the Year at the Women & Children First Woman of the Year Gala in January.

Rev. Betsy Singleton Snyder will join Phyllis Brandon, Cindy Murphy, Millie Ward, First Lady Ginger Beebe, Sharon Bale and more as a Woman of the Year. The honoree was chosen for her “professional, charitable and civic accomplishments.”

Singleton Snyder, the wife of former U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder, is the author of Stepping on Cheerios: Finding God in the Chaos and Clutter of Life and a preacher for New Heights Worship. She oversees missions at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.

The 12th Annual Woman of the Year Gala will be held Jan. 20, 2018 in the Little Rock Marriott Grand Ballroom. Tiffany and Daniel Robinson and Natalie and Win Rockefeller are the event’s co-chairs.
