Ballet Arkansas’ Tour de Force

Fill your February with fine art at all of the events Ballet Arkansas has to offer this month.

First up is the ballet company’s Tour de Force, a multi-performance extravaganza from Feb. 16-18 at the CHARTS Theater in the UA Pulaski Tech Center for Humanities and Arts, where attendees will enjoy classical and contemporary dance. Watch for works by George Balanchine, Michael Fothergill, Kiyon Gaines and Marius Petipa.

Friday, Feb. 16 is opening night and the show starts at 7 p.m. Stick around after for a meet and greet with the dancers and staff!

In the midst of Tour de Force, Ballet Arkansas presents The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra at 2 p.m. Saturday, also in the CHARTS Theater. The Young Person’s Guide is geared toward children. Young audience members can participate in crafts and meet the troupe’s dancers.

Tour de Force continues at 7 p.m. Saturday Feb. 17 and 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 18 at UA Pulaski Tech. Buy your tickets for Tour de Force and The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra at uaptc.edu/ballet.

For February’s final flourish, reserve your spot at Ballet Arkansas’ 7th Annual Turning Pointe Gala from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Feb. 23. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, dinner, silent and live auctions and special performances from Ballet Arkansas. Proceeds from the event support Ballet Arkansas.
