The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is trying out a different business model this season:  Beginning on August 1, for $9 per month, tickets buyers can become ASO concert members and will be able to attend an unlimited number of subscription concerts at no additional cost.

It’s “basically like a Netflix membership,” says Brandon Dorris, director of marketing for ASO. “We are really excited about this program, because we think it is the perfect way to reduce barriers and make it easy to experience the symphony.”

The subscription is per patron and provides the opportunity to see over 30 performances per season. Subscription series concerts include: Masterworks, Pops Live!, River Rhapsodies, Intimate Neighborhood Concerts and more. In addition to concert tickets, members will get advance notice of special events and promotions and they can choose the best available seats in selected seating sections online in advance of concerts.

“Reserving tickets will be easily done online,” says Dorris. “Our website recognizes our members and automatically makes their benefit tickets free.”

If you’re not interested in viewing shows solo, a double concert membership is available for $18 per month. Members can begin selecting their concerts online on August 28th. Seating is based on availability, and some restrictions apply. For more details and to sign up www.arkansassymphony.org/members.
